PureCloud Edge is an IP PBX server for enterprise telephony and integrates with PureCloud Communicate and PureCloud Engage to deliver local voice services. It ensures remote survivability if connectivity to PureCloud services becomes unavailable due to network failures or other interruptions.
PureCloud Edge Features
Connects a SIP network to other networks which use different protocols or technologies, such as the public switched telephone network (PSTN).
Provides client and server-side call matching. A proxy interrupts, and, if necessary, rewrites specific parts of a request message before forwarding it.
Manages audio recordings.
Provides call routing for inbound and outbound calls.
When disconnected from the PureCloud service, an Edge falls back into a remote survivability mode in which it can offer basic telephony services, such as auto-attendant, fallback IVR, DID, extension dialing, voicemail, consult, transfer, fax, and local conferencing.
Provides configuration settings for SIP phones.
FLEXIBLE SITE SETTINGS
Define Edge Groups to share trunks connected to other Edges in an Edge group. Associate the Edge with a site and the system can provide location-based call routing.
