Who is required to update their certification to 4.0?
All partner engineers who hold a current ICCE 2.4/3.0 certification will be required to update that certification to 4.0 in order to download 4.0 licenses and access support for 4.0 issues.
What are the requirements for the 4.0 Certification Update?
The update requirements may be fulfilled by attending the online 4.0 Certification Update course and passing the associated exam.
When will the 4.0 Certification Update online course be available?
The online course will be available closer to the 4.0 General Release date in November.
How long do I have to complete the course?
There will be a six-month grace period. The final date to complete and pass the course in order to retain license and support access is June 1, 2012.
How much will the 4.0 Certification Update course cost?
There will be a bulk purchase discount schedule as follows:
1-2 Certification Update Courses - $1,000 USD per student
3-4 Certification Update Courses - $950 USD per student
5-9 Certification Update Courses - $900 USD per student
10+ Certification Update Courses - $850 USD per student
To receive this discount, the courses must be purchased together.
Can I use SDF (Skills Development Funds) to pay for the 4.0 Certification Update?
Yes. SDF may be used to pay for any education offerings.
What if I have taken the 3.0 CIC Installation & Configuration course, but did not take the 3.0 VoIP Deployment Bootcamp for CIC? Do I need to take the 4.0 Certification Update?
No. In this case, you just need to attend and pass the Interaction Center Certified Engineer (ICCE) Bootcamp - Part 2 to complete your certification. You will then receive a 4.0 ICCE certification.
My certification is older than 2.4. Can I update it to 4.0 by taking the 4.0 Certification Update course?
No. You must attend and pass the current 4.0 ICCE courses to update an older certification to 4.0 certification.
What happens if I lose my internet connection while taking the exam?
Log back in immediately. The clock is still running on your exam even if you are logged out of the exam or have closed your browser window. Logging back into the exam will take you back to the point where you left off with the clock still running.
What happens if I fail the exam?
You probably just need another look at the course material. In order to retake the exam, you will need to contact Education@inin.com. The cost for retaking the exam is $350. You will receive 14 days access to the course and exam.
What happens after I pass the exam?
You will be notified immediately that you have passed and your completion will be noted in our Education user account within 7 days. You may check the Partner Portal for verification after 7 days.
