Interaction SIP Station™
Stop wasting money on expensive, proprietary desktop IP phones with features you don’t use!
The Interaction SIP Station is an affordable, reliable, simple and compact communications device that replaces an IP desk phone. It uses a standard headset in lieu of a handset, and includes the basic call-control functions contact center agents and business users need, not a lot of cost-adding features they don’t:
- Emergency speed-dial
- Pick-up/disconnect
- Volume
- Mute
Because the Interaction SIP Station works in conjunction with the Interactive Intelligence Interaction Client®, users get a feature-rich call-control software application on their PC, not another device on their desktop to take up space and add clutter. The Interaction SIP Station is designed for mid-size to large contact centers and enterprises… coffee cup not included.
Affordability
With all the features and functionality for advanced call control increasingly being handled by desktop applications, expensive handsets are soon to be a thing of the past. The Interaction SIP Station eliminates the need for pricey IP desk phones right now without sacrificing any of the features, and does it at a price point hundreds of dollars below today’s popular IP phones.
Reliability
Traditional softphones rely on the desktop CPU to handle all audio processing, which introduces problems whenever the CPU is involved in intense processing. And if the PC isn’t turned on, you have no phone. The Interaction SIP Station, however, uses a dedicated chip-set for audio processing, and power over Ethernet (PoE) to power the device. That means there’s no relying on the desktop CPU to handle audio processing. Open a large file, play a video, or even reboot the PC, and your audio is fine.
Simplicity
The Interaction Client desktop application allows a user to transfer calls, record, participate/create/manage conference calls, send callers to voicemail, and host of other options. With its Pickup/Disconnect, Volume and Emergency buttons, the Interaction SIP Station’s job is simply to provide clear consistent audio for the user. There’s no need for a screen on the device, since users already have one on their desktop to provide all the information they need about a call.
Nothing proprietaryThe Interaction SIP Station is fully compliant with the SIP communications standard. That makes it flexible enough to work in most global deployments, including EU countries. The Interaction SIP Station is also a general purpose telephony gateway that, while greatly enhanced by the Interactive Intelligence Customer Interaction Center® (CIC), doesn’t require CIC.
Smaller equipment budgetsContact centers use a large portion of their budgets acquiring, supporting and upgrading the physical devices that sit on an agent’s desk. The Interaction SIP Station presents a significant savings across your contact center in that its retail price is roughly half the price of a basic IP phone, and a fraction of the cost of higher-end telephones.
Ease of administrationEasily perform support for the Interaction SIP Station via a web-based management interface. Auto-provisioning for firmware and configuration file upgrades, as well as DHCP options for auto-provisioning, make setup and support a minor task for the IT department.
