Kuala Lumpur is an Asian tiger that roars: in 130 years, it has grown from nothing to a modern, bustling city of almost two million people. There are various types of transportation available from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to the Kuala Lumpur city. The journey would take about 45-60 minutes depending on the type of transportation taken.
Taxis and Limousines
The coupons for taxi and limo can be obtained at the 3 counters located at :
- The International arrival area just after Customs but before the public arrival area.
- The Arrival Hall by Door 3
- The Domestic Baggage Reclaim area
The counter staff of Airport Limo will be there to assist you.
There are two types of taxis :
- Budget taxi (B) which is a Proton Wira
- The premier taxi (P) which can be a Mercedes, Proton Perdana or the MPV depending on availability. The fare for Premier taxis will cost more than budget taxis.
KLIA Express
- Last train leaving KL Sentral and KLIA is at 12.00 midnight.
- There are off-peak periods, during which the trains depart every 20 minutes. The off-peak periods are from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs and from 2200 hrs until midnight. At all other times, the trains continue to depart every 15 minutes.
